I decided to break up with my medicine cabinet, the relationship was just too toxic.

I can remember when we were kids, me and my brother used to laugh at all the commercials with the nasty side effects. You know the ones I'm talking about. "Side effects may include, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, migraine, increased heart rate and blood pressure, heart attack and in some instances stroke", but hey, at least that ache in my shoulder has gone away. The sad part is, those side effects aren't laughable, they're real! In many instances, the side effects of the pill we're taking are worse than our original ailment!
“The good news is, there is a better way and we get to vote with our dollars. We get decide what to use for our bodies and what will benefit our health the most. ”
We all know that the FDA regulates Big Pharma, but were you aware of all of the drugs that have been approved and then banned because of the horrible side effects? Let me give you just a few examples.
My grandfather had a heart attack at the ripe old age of FORTY (that’s younger than I am now) after taking a daily dose of Demerol, the form he took is no longer on the market cause guess what, it causes heart attacks in healthy individuals. My grandmother took a cocktail of prescription diet pills containing phentamine, which guess what, have all been pulled as well. She died of Parkinson’s, and you better believe I have my own theories behind that.
If that isn’t enough, let me tell you a story about a pharmaceutical company, one that I worked for, who’s employees have the best of intentions, that was making an anti-hemophilia drug in the 80s using human blood plasma. This was before HIV and AIDS had been discovered. Unfortunately, that drug, the one approved by the FDA, injected a majority of hemophilia patients with HIV! True story my friends. Google that fish and be prepared to be shocked at what they did with the drug that they knew was contaminated. I’ll give you a hint, they didn’t discard it BUT SOLD IT IN ANOTHER MARKET!!!!!
I’ve got one more for you, Thalidomine. For those of you who are not familiar, this was an OTC anti-nausea medication marketed towards pregnant woman. Over 10,000 babies whose mothers had used the drug, were born with serious abnormalities and birth defects. Only 50% of the babies lived!
Even drugs such as Tylenol have recently had their recommended dosages changed because the FDA found that taking it at the recommended dosage was destroying the liver.
The good news is, there is a better way and we get to vote with our dollars. We get decide what to use for our bodies and what will benefit our health the most. Newflash, natural remedies work. It’s why certain cultures have been using them for centuries. If you look at the cultures that live the longest and have the best quality of life in their later years, they are cultures that use natural remedies and look to the earth for their wellness needs.
So let me ask, what are you gambling with in your medicine cabinet? What drugs and vaccines are you putting into yours and your families bodies have adverse effects that are unknown, until you experience them?
NOTE: I am in no way shape or form saying that there isn't a time and place for pharmaceuticals and modern medicine. By all means if you have a chronic illness that needs to be treated, get treated under a doctors care. Do what's best for your body. However, for most of our everyday needs, there are healthier, natural alternatives.
