Let's face it, it's not always easy to keep a positive attitude but there are daily habits that you can form that will help improve your mood, raise your vibe and boost your immunity.

1. Gratitude
Having an attitude of gratitude elevates positive emotions. By focusing on all that is good our lives, we focus less on what is going wrong. I like to start and end each day by listing at least 5 things that I am grateful for. In the morning, it can be the big things like the fact that I'm blessed to wake up to another day, or that my guy is super awesome and brings me warm lemon water in bed. At night though, I like to dig deep and list the little things that happened that day that I'm grateful for. When you do this, you'll find yourself constantly thinking about what you are grateful for throughout the day. Pretty cool right?
2. Grounding Meditation
Meditation doesn't have to be super complicated my friends. It can be as easy as taking in a deep cleansing breath or closing your eyes and counting to ten. For deeper meditation, find a dark, quiet room where you can get comfortable, close your eyes and focus on your breathe. A tip I learned years ago, is to inhale as deeply as possible and count how long it takes to fully fill your lungs. Exhale completely while also counting. By counting your breathes, your mind is focused your meditation practice and not on the outside world. With practice, you may find it possible to completely clear your mind.
"Inhale as deeply as possible and count how long it takes to fully fill your lungs. Exhale completely while also counting."
3. Physical Exercise
Physical exercise releases Dopamines, the feel good hormone. That's why runners get a high, but I'll have to take their word for it cause running has never been been my thing. Physical exercise whether it's running, hiking, walking, biking, swimming, dancing, the list goes on and on reduces stress and boosts overall health. I know it can be tough, but we should all strive to get at least 30 minutes of physical exercise at least 5 days a week.

4. Get Outside
It's no secret that being outside is my favorite. Fresh air and sunshine is so important for our overall health, mental and physical state.
5. Stop watching the News
You know what they say, "No news is good news". Let's face it ignorance is bliss and the news can be downright depressing. While it is important to stay informed, it's equally as important to keep your news time to a minimum. Focus on your goals instead.
What are your favorite ways to boost your mood and overall health?
